Kishore Kumar

Kishore Kumar was a multifaceted individual, with experience as a composer, film director, musician, film producer, poet, and singer. He held citizenship in both India and British Raj. Kumar was born in Khandwa on 4th August 1929 and passed away in Mumbai on 13th October 1987.

Throughout his career, Kishore Kumar worked in various musical genres including rock and roll, yodeling, filmi, ghazal, and Hindustani classical music. He had a son named Amit Kumar, who also pursued a career in music.
