John Updike

John Updike was an American poet , writer , novelist , playwright , art critic , author , and journalist . Born on March 18, 1932, in Reading, Pennsylvania , Updike was a citizen of the United States . He died on January 27, 2009, in Danvers, Massachusetts .

Updike was educated at several institutions, including Harvard University , Harvard College , the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art , and Governor Mifflin Senior High School . One of his notable works was the novel "The Witches of Eastwick" .
