Joe Simon (born November 10, 1913, in Rochester, New York – died December 14, 2011, in New York City) was an American cartoonist, comics artist, writer, and screenwriter. Simon's work in the comic industry led him to co-create the iconic character Captain America, as well as the villain Red Skull. Joe Simon held citizenship in the United States.
Simon also created "Jigsaw" for Harvey Comics, which is considered one of his notable works. Through these contributions to the world of comics, Joe Simon left a lasting legacy as an artist and writer.
