Jim Furyk

Jim Furyk is a professional golfer from the United States . He was born James Michael Furyk on May 12, 1970, in West Chester, Pennsylvania . Furyk is also known by the nickname Mr. 58 .

During his career, Furyk has won numerous awards and tournaments, including THE PLAYERS Championship , the U.S. Open Championship , and the PGA TOUR Champions . In the 2016 season, Furyk qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for the 11th time and advanced to the BMW Championship for the eighth time in the FedExCup era. He finished the season ranked 51st in the standings, his best result since making it to the TOUR Championship in the 2014-15 season. Furyk collected three top-10 finishes, including a runner-up at THE PLAYERS Championship, and made the cut in 16 of 21 starts .

Furyk attended Manheim Township High School before pursuing higher education at the University of Arizona and the Eller College of Management . Throughout his career, Furyk has played in various locations, such as West Chester, Pennsylvania; Jacksonville, Florida; and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida .

In addition to his golfing achievements, Furyk has also captained the United States Ryder Cup team at Le Golf National in Paris, France .
