Jay Beckenstein

Jay Beckenstein (born May 14, 1951) is an American saxophonist, composer, and co-founder of the jazz fusion band Spyro Gyra. Born in New York City, Beckenstein attended both Nurnberg American High School and University at Buffalo.

Throughout his career, Beckenstein has gained recognition primarily in the genres of jazz, progressive metal, jazz fusion, and smooth jazz. As a saxophonist and composer, he contributed significantly to the music industry and the creation of original compositions.
