Inter IKEA Group is a venture capital company in Luxembourg that aims to improve, develop, expand and extend the IKEA group. Founded 1974 in Luxembourg by Ingvar Kamprad, it is a suborganization of IKEA, a company in Delft, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands that offers a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products. The company usually invests in venture rounds. On Apr 4, 2005, it invested in the venture round of Mitra Medical Technology, a biomedical company in Sweden that develops systems for systemic cancer therapy and diagnosis. The investment was $4.3M.

Inter IKEA Group is composed of three core businesses: Franchise, Range & Supply and Industry. Around the globe, many companies operate under the IKEA trademarks. All IKEA franchisees are independent of Inter IKEA Group. A large group of franchisees are owned and operated by INGKA Group. Inter IKEA Group and INGKA Group have the same founder, and a common history and heritage, but have operated under different owners and management since the 1980s.
