Hyphen

Hyphen provides capital markets with climate data and supports dApps, corporations, organizations, and financial institutions building green financial products and services in making decisions. Hyphen partners with atmospheric agencies to collate emissions data from various sources, standardize the data sets, and make them available to users for wider smart contact usage.

Hyphen uses Chainlink to automate climate reporting. In September 2021, Hyphen received a Chainlink Grant to build oracle framework for tracking greenhouse gases and ozone-depleting substances. Hyphen aims to accomplish three major objectives for its inceptive decentralized oracle-based reporting model:

• Identify the suitable data collecting partner in the Montreal Protocol emissions monitoring agencies, like NOAA, ICOS,and IG3IS, in order to access N2O data
• Create an API service that the data collector in those agencies can utilize to feed into Hyphen Nodes for preliminary collection of data, including the open-source documentation of the API.
• Create open-source Chainlink External Adapters to collect data from the API into the blockchain environment utilizing Chainlink oracles
