Gulnara Karimova

Gulnara Karimova (born on July 8, 1972) is a diplomat and politician from Uzbekistan. She was born in Fergana and holds citizenship of both the Soviet Union and Uzbekistan.

Gulnara is the daughter of Islam Karimov, the first president of Uzbekistan, and Tatyana Karimova. She was educated at the National University of Uzbekistan, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.

In addition to her political career, Karimova was the owner of Uzdunrobita, a telecommunications subsidiary.
