Groopit

Groopit is a developer of a data collection tool intended to help businesses gather actionable data insights. It gathers data from multiple platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Salesforce, and the platform offers multi-group implementation, enterprise systems via API, and enterprise-level data management to help users bring together data and employees and gain real-time visibility.

Groopit was cofounded by CEO Tammy Savage and CTO John Vert in 2018 and is headquartered in Seattle. The concept of the company came from Savage and Vert's experiences working for Microsoft, where they encountered the problem of getting data to people where it was needed inside an organization. The platform is designed to take information and data and use automation to provide that information where it is needed to generate insights and help decision-makers. The founders have compared it to a real-time traffic app using the data from individual drivers to understand what is holding up the flow of traffic.

Groopit's platform is a software-as-a-service crowdsolving platform that allows employees to share competitive intelligence, product feedback, merchandising insight, and operational issues, among other issues, to give users greater insight and context into the workings of a company. Groopit blends human intelligence with artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver insights from the human intelligence. The AI works to extract patterns, highlights, and actionable insights from human data and intelligence and ensure that employees are being heard by their companies. Further, the platform uses various data models to better generate insights from the data—with some data models including competitive, sales, operational, product, and customer satisfaction—and allows users to customize or create the data templates to meet their needs.

The platform's use of AI has extended to the application of generative AI. The platform uses generative AI to allow users to ask questions of historical datasets and allow them to be applied to current ingestion of data. The AI is also used to offer enriched analysis, including extracting key insights, identifying themes and statistical patterns, and generating summaries in natural language.
