German Startups Group

German Startups Group is a venture capital firm from Berlin, Germany that invests in early stage, late stage, secondary market and seed ventures. Founded in 2012 by Alexander Koelpin and Christoph Gerlinger, it focuses on young and fast growing companies. Since its start, it has invested in diverse companies and has become the second most active venture capital investor in Germany.

The German Startups Market GmbH (G | S Market ™) is a subsidiary of this group and is a web based matchmaking platform for providers and purchasers of tech resources, such as shares in German businesses and venture capital funds, and also shares in recently-created VC funds. Furthermore, its sister company, German Startups Asset Management, is able to put resources into German businesses from SPEs of more than EUR 200 thousand.
