Genesis Capital

Genesis Capital is an Atlanta, Georgia-based independent investment bank and loan provider founded in 2002. The independent investment and merchant banking firm works with public corporations, family-owned businesses, and private companies.

Genesis Capital provides services for mergers, acquisitions, sales, and capital raising. The firm focuses on more than one industry, including financing, currency, manufacturing labor, IP, environment, contract and regulatory and other speciaized issues, and represents clients in over forty-eight countries.

The firm was founded by Jonathan Goldman, current Managing Partner. Goldman formerly served as the Managing Director and Management Committee Member of Robertson Stephens, the Robinson-Humphrey Company and as the Vice President of Investment Banking at Credit-Suisse First Boston. Goldman earned his degree in finance and marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.

Genesis Capital is also led by Managing Director, Jeremy Ellis, and CEO Robert Wasmund. Ellis has over twenty-five years of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and private debt and equity advisory services. Prior to Genesis Capital, Ellis advised clients at Robertson Stephens and The Robinson-Humphrey Company. Ellis earned his bachelors of mathematics and economics from Hampden-Syndey College in Virginia.

The firm has worked with a wide range of companies, including Papa John's, Struxure, Landau, Patten Seed Company, iDeal aluminum, Southeast Primary Care Partners, and Pinehurst Manufacturing.
