Gemmist

Gemma Labs, more commonly known as Gemmist, is a haircare company that focuses on developing custom haircare products. The company was founded in 2018 by Allison Harr and is a spinout company of Pioneer Square Labs. Gemmist uses in-house scientists to develop custom shampoos for individual customers based on surveys taken regarding their hair and seasonal influences. The survey consists of various questions, like zip code, chemical treatments, thermal styling tools, and more. After the survey is taken, selected hair products are developed and shipped to the client.
