Gary Burton

Gary Burton (born January 23, 1943) is an American composer and lecturer. He holds citizenship in the United States. Burton was educated at the Berklee College of Music. As a composer, he has worked in the field of jazz and has received several accolades for his work. He has won the Grammy Award for Best Improvised Jazz Solo and the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album. In addition to his career as a composer, Gary Burton has also served as a lecturer.
