Ferid Murad

Ferid Murad is a physician, biologist, and pharmacist born on September 14, 1936, in Whiting, Indiana. He is a citizen of the United States and has pursued his education at DePauw University and the University of Virginia. Murad's doctoral advisor was Earl Wilbur Sutherland Jr.. In recognition of his work in the field of medicine, Murad received the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
