Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II ("Lockheed Martin" F-35 "Lightning II") - a family of stealth multifunctional fifth-generation fighter-bombers , developed by the American company Lockheed Martin (Lockheed Martin) in three versions:

F-35A ground fighter (CTOL - conventional takeoff and landing, "normal" takeoff and landing) for the Air Force;

F-35B fighter with short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL - Short take-off and vertical landing);

F-35C carrier-based fighter (CV) for the Navy. The Lockheed-Martin-led consortium also included Northrop Grumman Corporation , Pratt & Whitney , Rolls-Royce plc , Allison and British Aerospace ; Skunk works and Aeronautical Systems took part in the development of individual nodes.
