Devfolio is a platform designed to connect hackathon organizers with the intended participants. The company was established by Shakti Goap. Devfolio is based in Bengaluru, India.
Devfolio provides a platform for event coordinators to publish their hackathon events, and for participants to register and manage their profile across various events. Through the platform, Devfolio facilitates event holders who need to screen hackathon participants according to the relevant skills and background that are suitable with their target audience. Events that are approved by Devfolio would receive its own page, which includes information regarding the event, such as schedule and judge information. To apply, new users would need to sign up to Devfolio and submit their application to the event.
Hackathon events are held not just in India but also places such as Nepal and United States. Several past hackathon events that were hosted in the platform include ETHIndia, an Ethereum hackathon and hackNSUT, an annual hackathon held by Netaji Subhas University of Technology. Additionally, Devfolio also organizes hackathon of its own, such as wmn, the non-profit women-only hackathon held in Bangalore on June 2019.
