Charles Bachman (born December 11, 1924 in Manhattan, Kansas, and died July 13, 2017 in Lexington, Massachusetts) was an American computer scientist and engineer. He was a citizen of the United States and spent most of his career in the country.

Bachman was educated at various institutions, including East Lansing High School and Michigan State University. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Charles Bachman's father was Charlie Bachman. Charles Bachman is most notable for his work on Integrated Data Store (IDS). In recognition of his accomplishments, he received the 1973 Turing Award.
