Carl Wieman

Carl Wieman is an American physicist born on March 26, 1951, in Corvallis, Oregon. He holds citizenship in the United States. Wieman received his education at Corvallis High School (Oregon), Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Theodor W. Hänsch served as his doctoral advisor. Wieman's occupation is listed as a physicist, and he currently lives in the United States. In 2001, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics.
