Benlai Works

Benlai is a Beijing-based company that has an e-commerce platform specifically for fresh grocery items. Customers in China can utilize the platform to have fresh produce delivered to their homes. The company itself specializes in supply chain and logistics in addition to the sale of groceries.

Users can access the platform via the company's website or mobile application. After registering and logging in, users can shop for groceries which are separated into categories such as fruit, vegetables, seafood, meat, poultry, and eggs, rice and oils, noodles, dairy, snacks, drinks, and more. It also sells gift boxes for special occasions including holidays.

Fresh goods can be delivered in 22 major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Goods can also be delivered to warehouses in major cities , which can then distribute the produce for sale.

Benlai has raised capital through five funding rounds. The total for all funding rounds is more than $348 million through nine investors.
