Overview

Augmenta is a software company offering solutions for the construction industry by automating building design using generative artificial intelligence (AI). The company's platform uses AI software to invent and improve products, processes, strategies, and systems, enabling contractors and engineers to create constructible and code-compliant designs of buildings and systems that can be evaluated against cost, construction time, sustainability, maintainability, and other criteria to ensure they are optimized.

Electrical System Design module

Augmenta's Electrical System Design (ESD) module is a part of the Augmenta Construction Platform (ACP). The ESD module is designed to generate designs of electrical raceway routing for electrical engineers and contractors. This product is intended to solve supply chain and talent shortage challenges by generating a complete bill of material.

Process

Clients must first ensure that their designs meet NEC and customer specifications. Subsequently, device and panel locations, blockouts, no-go zones, and electrical requirements must be specified. Rule Templates are available for users to specify their customers' requirements regarding parts, routing, grouping, and spacing rules. After inputting this data, multiple designs are generated and made available for evaluation. Users may then conduct direct comparisons between the generated designs to understand the characteristics of different site layouts, part selections, specifications, and routes.

Changes in the site and requirements can be instantly responded to even after construction commences. Updated designs that meet any newly arising requirements may be generated and automatically coordinated around site changes, letting users preserve existing routes they may have already committed to.
