Anthony Shadid

Anthony Shadid (September 26, 1968 – February 16, 2012) was an American journalist and war correspondent. He was born in Oklahoma City and held United States citizenship. Shadid was a graduate of Heritage Hall School, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During his career, he worked as a journalist and war correspondent, covering conflicts in the Middle East.

Anthony Shadid passed away in Syria on February 16, 2012. At the time of his death, he was reporting from Lebanon.
