Aarke was founded in 2013 by friends and experienced industrial designers, Carl Ljungh and Jonas Groth. Having worked as designers for various consumer brands over 15 years, the two were frustrated that their best ideas never reached consumers - as most clients did not share their obsessions for product perfection and attention to detail.They decided to create their own brand dedicated to the design and development of home appliances crafted from premium materials and engineered for the everyday use. A category of products they believed had been forgotten by the design community.“You spend many minutes each morning, pulling this handle or pushing that button on the machine. Four years and countless iterations later, the first product was ready to launch: The Aarke Carbonator. A Sparkling Water maker that was designed to perfection inside and out.“We were influenced by Italian espresso machines, which are known for their heritage and solid materials. We merged this inspiration with our minimalistic design approach and added the best possible technology.
