7shifts is an Ontario-based software company with a product that aids restaurant managers with scheduling employees for shifts and also communicating with their team members.The software is used in various parts of the world including Australia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. It participated in the Tribe 3 cohort of Boost VC in December 2013 and raised an estimated $4,422,845.

The company's platform can be accessed via a computer or its mobile application, which is available for Android and iOS devices. It is intended to be used by restaurant managers and has features such as a scheduling tool. Managers can make the schedule for the employees and publish it to the employee's email or mobile device. They can approve or deny requests for time off and shift trades using the platform as well.

There is also a chat feature where managers can create group chats, direct messaging, announcements, and shift feedback. Another feature is an operation tool that has options such as labor budget tool and reports about the restaurant. Other technology can be integrated into the platform, such as point-of-sale (POS) activity and payroll software.

On May 26, 2016 7shifts announced raising CA$1.2 million in seed funding from Relay Ventures (lead investor), Globalive Capital, Boost VC, and Tim Draper.

On August 30, 2017 7shifts announced raising $3.5 million in additional seed funding from Tandem Capital (lead investor), Relay Ventures (lead investor), and Tom Williams. The company plans on using their additional seed funding to build out its infrastructure.

On January 24, 2019 7shifts announced raising $10 million in series A funding from Napier Park Global Capital (lead investor), Teamworthy Ventures, Relay Ventures, and Peter Harrison.

On October 1, 2019 7shifts announced raising $6 million in additional series A funding from Relay Ventures, Napier Park Global Capital, and Conexus Credit Union. The company plans on using their additional series A funding to expand their North American operations by accelerating the adoption of the labor management software platform.
