SkyUp Airlines, registered in the USR as SkyUp Airlines LLC (LLC SkyUp Airlines) is a private Ukrainian airline. It operates on a hybrid model - it operates charter flights and regular low-cost flights. Based at the international airport "Borispol" (terminal D[3]).
SkyUp Airlines was registered in June 2017 in Kiev[5].
On May 16, 2018, the airline received an air operator certificate (AOC)[6] from the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, and in early October of the same year, a TCO[7] certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which entitles the airline to fly to member countries EASA[8] - 27 EU countries and four countries that are members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
On May 21, 2018, the carrier operated the first charter flight from Kiev to Sharm el-Sheikh[9], and on December 27 of the same year, the first regular flight from Kiev to Tbilisi[10].
In the summer of 2018, SkyUp became the official carrier of the FC Shakhtar team[11]. One of the airline's aircraft, a Boeing 737-700 with 149 seats, was painted in the livery of a football club[12].
According to the results of 2018-2019. SkyUp Airlines was ranked among the most dynamic airlines in Europe (7th place) according to the British edition of The Anker Report[13].
