Yasushi Inoue (1907-1991) was a Japanese writer, novelist, poet, and screenwriter. Born in Hokkaido and holding Japanese citizenship, he eventually passed away in Tokyo. Inoue was educated at both Kyoto University and Kyushu University. Often referred to by his alias, いのうえ やすし, he continues to be celebrated for his literary work.
