William Rothenstein

William Rothenstein (born January 29, 1872 in Bradford, and died February 14, 1945 in London) was a painter, teacher, and lecturer from the United Kingdom. He studied art at Bradford Grammar School, the Slade School of Fine Art, and the Académie Julian in Paris. He was known for his portrait works.

William Rothenstein had two children, John Rothenstein and Michael Rothenstein, both of whom went on to have careers in the arts.
