Werner Jaeger (born on 30 July 1888 in Lobberich, Germany) was a German-American philologist. He held dual citizenship in Germany and the United States. Jaeger received his education from the University of Marburg, Humboldt University of Berlin, and Frederick William University. Friedrich Solmsen was one of his notable doctoral students. Werner Jaeger passed away in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on 19 October 1961.
