University of Zimbabwe

The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a public educational institute located in Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1955, UZ operates under the accreditation of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Council on Higher Education. The university is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Association of African Universities, and the Southern African Regional Universities Association.

UZ falls under the education, higher education, and university industries. Its motto is "Knowledge, Diligence, Integrity". The university has two subsidiaries: the University of Zimbabwe Farm and the University of Zimbabwe Lake Kariba Research Station.
