The University of Montenegro (Univerzitet Crne Gore) is a public educational institute located in Podgorica, Montenegro. It was founded on April 29, 1974, and operates under the accreditation of the Ministry of Education of Montenegro and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Montenegro. The university is affiliated with the European University Association.
As an organization involved in the education, higher education, and university industries, the University of Montenegro offers a variety of study programs through its numerous subsidiaries. Some of these subsidiaries include the Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Drama, Faculty of Applied Physiotherapy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Economics, Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Political Sciences, Music Academy, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Biotechnology. Additionally, the university also provides an Autonomous study program for teacher training in the Albanian language.
