Trust Ventures, a venture capital and private equity firm investing in regulatory companies, has raised $100 million for a venture capital fund called Trust Ventures Fund II, LP. The fund will invest in startups that focus on challenging government regulations.
The anticipated amount to be raised by the Austin-based firm for the investment fund was $132 million, but the actual amount was $100 million. When Trust Ventures was established in 2018, the firm had plans for a $50 million fund. Trust Ventures is led by Brian Tochman—former president of Kasita, and Salen Churi—a professor at the University of Chicago Law School and former associate with Kirkland & Ellis. Trust Venture's local investments include Sana Benefits and 3D homebuilder ICON.
