History:

According to the Vedomosti newspaper, in the late 2000s, Transoil effectively monopolized a number of export routes, in particular, for the transportation of oil products to the Baltic ports from the Kirishi refinery owned by Surgutneftegaz. As of October 2011, more than 70% of the company's traffic was provided by Rosneft, Surgutneftegaz, Gazprom Neft.
The locomotive fleet of the company in 2005 was more than 20 units.

According to the results of 2009, Transoil became the second private railway operator in the country after Globaltrans in terms of transportation volume - the company's transportation volume amounted to 49.2 million tons of oil and oil products.
