TOM BERENGER

THOMAS MICHAEL MOORE

He was born on May 31, 1949 in Chicago (Illinois, USA).

His real name is Thomas Michael Moore.

He studied at the University of Missouri in journalism (journalism, teaching, drama). As a student took a great interest in theater, and having moved to New York in the mid 70's, engaged in acting in earnest. Studied at the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York.

Since 1968 he appeared on television, in 1977 he made his film debut (In Search of Mr. Goodbar).

After the first film, film and TV roles followed one after another, and in 1986 the actor starred in Oliver Stone's Platoon, which brought him his first Oscar nomination.

In 1995, together with producer William Macdonald, he founded the film company "First Corps Endeavors," which lasted until 1997.

In 1996 Berenger made his film debut as a producer (Unexpected Hell).
