Thomas M. Disch (2 February 1940 – 4 July 2008) was an American writer. Born Thomas Michael Disch in Des Moines, Iowa, he was a multi-talented author known for his work in various genres and occupations, such as a novelist, poet, screenwriter, and journalist. Disch was educated at Saint Paul Central High School.
Often writing under the pseudonym Cassandra Knye, Disch contributed to genres like poetry, science fiction, literary criticism, and children's literature. He is notably recognized for his works "Camp Concentration," "The Genocides," and "On Wings of Song".
