Taha Hussein

Taha Hussein (born 14 November 1889 in Minya Governorate) was an Egyptian writer, historian, politician, novelist, translator, and linguist. He passed away in Cairo on 28 October 1973, and held Egyptian citizenship.

During his lifetime, Taha Hussein was educated at several esteemed institutions including the Al-Azhar University, Cairo University, University of Montpellier, Faculté des lettres de Paris, and University of Paris. Hussein's notable work, "The Future of Culture in Egypt," remains an influential piece in the study of Egyptian culture.
