Stuart Fairchild is a professional professional baseball outfielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball. He was moved up to the major league from the minor league in 2021.
Stuart entered the 2020 season rated by Baseball America the player in the Reds' minor league system with the best strike zone discipline. Following the 2019 season, he was rated one of the organization's top prospects by Baseball America (8th) and MiLB.com (16th). While at Dayton in 2018, he was a mid-season Midwest League All-Star. Following the 2017 season, he was rated by Baseball America the best defensive outfielder in the Reds' minor league system. In November 2017, he attended a leadership training program at West Point.
Stuart played college baseball at Wake Forest University, where in 2017 he was a consensus first team All-American and a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist. At Wake Forest, he did not commit an error during his freshman and junior seasons (288 total chances).
