Standup Ventures is a venture capital firm headquartered in Toronto, Canada. It was started in 2017 by MaRS IAF executive Michelle McBane. The fund is managed by MaRS IAF. It makes seed stage capital investments in Canadian technology companies with at least one female founder. It has invested in the SaaS, food technology, artificial intelligence, and medial device sectors.
The fund was launched in 2017 with a $5 million fund provided by an investment BDC's Women in Tech Fund. In 2019, it was reported that the fund had raised an additional $13 million for further investing.
