Sonny Chiba

Sonny Chiba (ちば しんいち, まえだ さだほ) was a Japanese actor, singer, voice actor, composer, lyricist, film producer, film director, stunt coordinator, and professor, born on January 23, 1939, in Fukuoka, Japan. He was a citizen of Japan and educated at Nippon Sport Science University. Chiba worked in various film genres, including Kayōkyoku and J-pop.

Sonny Chiba was the father of two children, Juri Manase and Mackenyu. Chiba passed away on August 19, 2021, in Kimitsu, Japan. Throughout his career, he held multiple occupations, from being an actor to a professor at the highest academic rank.
