Scott Carpenter

Scott Carpenter was an American test pilot , astronaut , aircraft pilot , writer , and aquanaut . He was born on May 1, 1925, in Boulder, Colorado , and died on October 10, 2013, in Denver . He held citizenship of the United States .

Carpenter pursued his education at various institutions, including Boulder High School , the University of Colorado Boulder , and the United States Naval Academy . He also attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School . Marion Carpenter was his father .
