Sam Eyde

Sam Eyde (October 29, 1866 – June 21, 1940) was a Norwegian diplomat, engineer, and entrepreneur, best known as the founder of Norsk Hydro and Elkem, as well as Hydro. Born in Arendal, Norway, Eyde pursued a career that spanned both diplomacy and groundbreaking innovation in the industrial sector.
