Roy Bahat is a San Francisco-based entrepreneur, investor, and lecturer. He is the founder and CEO of Bloomberg Beta, an early-stage venture firm backed by Bloomberg L.P. Bahat was also the co-founder and chairman of OUYA, Inc. a game console maker.
Bahat holds a board position at the non-profit Center for Investigative Reporting. He also holds board and advisory positions at Stanford PACS, GONG, Starting Line, Ouya, Revision3, and UCode.Bahat has been a lecturer at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business since 2011.He has also been active in the media, participating in interviews, podcasts, and TED Talks, and publishing articles on Medium themed around working, business, and investing.
Roy Bahat is a Harvard graduate and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. He was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. He previously ran News Corporation’s IGN Entertainment. Bahat has been involved in politics through his service in the New York City Mayors office. He also helped organize First Principles, a community for people in technology to learn how to give philanthropically and politically. Roy is still a a First Principles Co-chair.
