Ronald Coase (1910-2013) was a British economist, writer, and historian. He was born in London on 29 December 1910 and died in Chicago on 2 September 2013. Coase held citizenship in both the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the United Kingdom.
He was educated at various institutions, including the London School of Economics, the University of Virginia, the University of London, and Queens Park Community School. Coase's academic disciplines were Economics and Law.
Coase is known for his work on Coase theorem, Analysis of transaction costs, and Coase conjecture. His contributions to these fields earned him the 1991 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. One of Coase's notable doctoral students was David D. Friedman.
