His art is considered abstract and features "experiments" with various contraptions he has created and with ordinary objects, that are then captured through photography or film. Signer's installation pieces are often interactive. His art conveys concepts found within minimalism and conceptualism. His art also focuses on the exploration and expression of time; he does this by using explosions, collisions, and other interactions between the various objects within his pieces.
