Robert Loggia, born Salvatore Loggia on January 3, 1930, was an American actor and director. He was born in Staten Island, New York and held citizenship in the United States. Loggia passed away on December 4, 2015, in Los Angeles.
Loggia had a myriad of occupations throughout his career, including television director, news presenter, film director, actor, and filmmaker. He was educated at various institutions, such as Wagner College, Northwestern University, New Dorp High School, and the University of Missouri.
Throughout his acting career, Loggia had numerous notable works, some of which include The Greatest Story Ever Told, Scarface, An Officer and a Gentleman, and Independence Day: Resurgence. He also appeared in television shows such as Hawaii Five-0, The Sopranos, and Family Guy. Additionally, Loggia lent his voice to several video games, including FreeSpace 2 and Grand Theft Auto III.
Loggia received various awards throughout his career, such as the British Academy Film Awards, CableACE Awards, Primetime Emmy Award, and Fangoria Chainsaw Awards.
