Robert Banks (chemist)

Robert Banks (1921-1989) was a chemist and engineer from the United States, with a specialization in the fields of chemistry and engineering. He was born on November 24, 1921, in Piedmont, Missouri, and was educated at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Banks dedicated his career to the advancement of chemical and engineering sciences, and eventually passed away in Missouri on January 3, 1989.

In recognition of his contributions to the field, Banks was posthumously inducted into the 2001 National Inventors Hall of Fame.
