Rita Moreno

Rita Moreno (born Rosa Dolores Alverío Marcano) is a Puerto Rican singer, dancer, and actress. Born on December 11, 1931, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Moreno holds Puerto Rican citizenship and nationality. She is best known for her work in the film, entertainment, and dance industries. Moreno was married to Leonard Gordon.

Over her career, Rita Moreno has received numerous awards, including the Grammy Award for Best Children's Album, Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, CableACE Awards, Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, Peabody Award, Primetime Emmy Award, ALMA Awards, Imagen Foundation Awards, Laurel Awards, OFTA Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, National Medal of Arts, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
