Rex Stout

Rex Stout, born as Rex Todhunter Stout on December 1, 1886, in Noblesville, Indiana, was a multi-talented American writer. He was known for his work as a writer, novelist, screenwriter, and radio personality. Stout was educated at the University of Kansas.

Rex Stout primarily wrote in the genre of detective fiction. In addition to his work in the literary world, Stout was also the founder of Freedom House, an organization that promotes democracy and human rights.

On October 27, 1975, Stout passed away in Danbury, Connecticut.
