Republic Protocol is an open source decentralized dark pool cryptocurrency exchange protocol that allows cross-chain trading and powers the RenEx decentralized cryptocurrency exchange. The Republic Protocol allows user transactions on the platform to be hidden from any third parties (including the Republic Protocol itself).
The ability to not put exchanges on the platform on a public ledger and keep transactions hidden is what makes the Republic Protocol a 'dark pool'. The Republic Protocol features a decentralized hidden order book, decentralized order matching, atomic swaps (BTC, ETH, and ERC cross-chain trading), and their own cryptocurrency token called REN.
