She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana , and holds citizenship in the United States . Witherspoon is also known by her pseudonym, Reese Witherspoon .

Witherspoon is a founder of Type A Films and studied at Stanford University . Some of her notable works include "Legally Blonde" and "Walk the Line" .
