Ray Barretto

Ray Barretto , born on 29th April 1929 in Brooklyn , was a multifaceted musician from the United States . He was a composer, musician, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist. Known as the "King of the Hard Hands", Barretto excelled in various genres, including jazz, salsa music, boogaloo, son cubano, pachanga, and Latin jazz. Throughout his career, Barretto received several Grammy Awards. He passed away on 17th February 2006 in Hackensack, New Jersey .
