Rashid Sunyaev

Rashid Sunyaev was born as Rashid Alievich Sunyaev on March 1, 1943, in Tashkent . He is a Russian physicist and astronomer with a primary focus in these fields. Sunyaev holds citizenship in Russia and previously held Soviet Union citizenship .

Sunyaev received his education at Moscow State University , MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics , and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology . His doctoral advisor was Yakov Borisovich Zel'dovich .
